An England woman decided to spend her two years of surviving torture in public and to tell how her friend raped her while sleeping beside him.
21-year-old Angel Rogers was with her 30-year-old friend Douglas Hodgson, his mother and sister, in the local pub, before returning to his house.
At the end of the night, the Hodgson’s family suggested that Angel should stay sleeping with them instead of going home.
Because she trusted her friend, Angel fell asleep in bed beside Hodgson dressed, who was already asleep.
But when she woke up the next morning, although she was dressed, she felt great pain and suspected that Hodgson had raped her.
When she left home, she sent him a message: “I know exactly what you did to me yesterday.”
He recognized that he touched her sexually, but denied that he had raped her.
“I have a strong sleep, and it was not unlikely that I did not wake up. I cried for days, I mumbled mentally,” she said. Doctors confirmed that Hodgson was rapped that fatal night in 2015.
After 22 months of denial, he admitted to raping her. He was sentenced to 6 years and 4 months in prison.
Angel continued her life. She has married and got her first child. “It was very difficult for me to trust people again, but I can not sleep if there is no family member in the house. I have traumas, but I can not spend the rest of my life in fear,” Angel said.
